Committee Involvement Form

Governmental Affairs: Review any legislative issues facing our county, city and Chamber. Coordinate Aransas County Day at the Legislature.

Bay Blazers: Represent the membership of the Chamber at all ribbon cuttings, business after house, luncheons and various other Chamber functions. Conduct a yearly membership drive.

Tourism Dev. Council: Develop and approve Marketing Plan for the community. Govern and oversee hotel/motel tax expenditures. Work on promotions and evaluations in regards to our tourist industry. Attract tour groups. Visitor Center developments. Event Coordination.

Economic Dev. Council: Work on attracting light industry to the area. Work with governmental entities. Work towards building a community plan, developing an industrial business park for the Aransas County Airport and facilitate inquiries for those interested in starting a business.

Finance Committee: Functions to watch the budgets closely, make projections and monitor spending.

Special Events: Help oversee all special events of the Chamber.

Small Business Council: "Business Builders" work on programs for small businesses of our community. (i.e. seminars, business assistance, brochure exposure, etc.)

Beach Events: Work on various events at the Rockport Beach Park.

Education Committee: Develop program to enhance, help and assist our educators. Career Day participation.

Hummer/Bird Celebration Committee: Help coordinate the annual Hummer/Bird Celebration.

Charmers: A group of volunteers that greet and direct people in the Visitor Center.

Leadership Aransas County: Submit an application to be part of this group learning to be future leaders of Aransas County.
