Starting a new year with the Chamber is always exciting and this year we would like to make it one to remember. “Stars on the Water of Rockport-Fulton…Shine with the Chamber!” is our new Chamber theme for the upcoming year. Who are our stars? Each member of our Chamber is our shining stars, giving special star quality in everything they do!

Rockport-Fulton is a unique community because there is constant comradery. All members live, work and play in our community and dedicate many hours to volunteering. This makes us an impressive organization. In addition to the people, Rockport-Fulton is so special because of the windswept trees, beautiful blue water, exciting fishing and fascinating birds. In the eyes of the many visitors who spend time here, we are the luckiest community because we get to stay and play all year long!

My first experience with Rockport-Fulton was in 1996 and its beauty and elegance wrapped me in immediately and I moved here as soon as I could. I have now, lived and worked in the area since 1998. The amount of friendliness and the remarkable instant acceptance we have felt from the community has been overwhelming. I have made so many wonderful friends that is hard for me to imagine living anywhere other than this “Star” community.

We are excited about the upcoming year for the Chamber and will continue working on promoting many events in the area. Promoting tourism and commerce through our “Fall In Love” ad-campaign is still our priority. Hummerbird will celebrate its 19th year, Christmas by the Bay is planning to be bigger and better than ever this year, and Sea-A-Bration and Seafair are also underway and will be enjoyed events by all. Monthly luncheons and our popular Business Breakfasts will both begin in September, so get ready!
